Daphne- SOLD

Daphne is a 4 year old Gypsy Vanner mare standing a sturdy and stout 13.3 hands high. She was born and raised here at our farm! If you want yourself, your kids, the husband, and guests to be absolutely safe and confident in the saddle, Daphne is your girl. She’s beautiful, she’s gentle, and she’s SAFE in every way. She is the epitome of slow and steady, and can be trusted with any age, level, or size rider. She’s been ridden just about everywhere a horse can go. Whether you ride her once a month or every day, at home, or in a new place, she is the same safe and quiet horse as always. From the day we first sat on her she has not put a foot wrong. The kids have only agreed to let us sell her because they are, “ready to go fast!” Make sure you check out all of the photos below to see some adorable baby pictures of her! 

 

In the ring, Daphne has three comfortable and easy to sit gaits. She picks up both leads, and listens well to her rider. We use her for the kids lessons every week. She is safe enough for our 15 month old to pony ride, our 8 year old to learn to trot, and for their friends to come and learn to steer and bop around on.  Nothing bothers her, and she is tolerant and forgiving as they come. Don’t let her size fool you, husbands and guests can ride her just fine too! We have introduced her to jumps in the ring, and out xc, and this fluff ball can really jump around! 

 

On the trails is where Daphne really shines! She has no cares in the world, and acts as if she has seen it all. The kids can saddle her up and take her out any day of the week. She will pony and he ponied, and loves to go out on camping trips with the family. She rides alone, or in a group, and will stand still as a statue for as long as she’s asked. We have ridden her through town, into stores, along busy roads, around livestock, and have trailered off to every place you can imagine. She is steady and reliable on every ride, in every environment. 

 

In the barn, Daphne is the biggest love bug you’ll ever find. She has a ton of hair and loves to stand around to be groomed, braided, and bathed. Anyone can handle her, she’s easy in every way. Shes happy living outside 24/7 or in, and her living arrangements make no difference to her. She’s the same quiet horse whether she is turned out and ridden twice a day, or stalled up and ridden out on a cold windy day. Daphne is a good girl for all the usual barn tasks, and has no quirks or vices. 

 

Folks always ask us if we train horses to be quiet and “bombproof” or if they come that way. Daphne is a testament to the phrase, “You’ve either got it or you don’t.” She was born with the brain God gave her. She has been gentle as a lamb and unflappable from the day she was born here, and she will just keep getting better with age! 

Daphne is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment.
 
Appointments to meet and try horses can be made starting anytime after the Full Video is listed on our page. Vet and ship, and sight-unseen sales are welcome at any point once the horse is listed on our site.

​Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. A deposit holds a horse for 5 days. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
