Vivaldi is a 6 year old Friesian x Morgan gelding standing 15.3 hands high. He is a stunning mover with correct, uphill gaits. He is intelligent, kind, forgiving, and talented as can be. Vivaldi is half brother to Mozart and Beethoven, who are phenomenal, both in the saddle and on the ground. Though he doesn't share the color, he shares many characteristics of his brothers. He is sweet and gentle, with the best brain. Vivaldi is easy to get along with, great off property, and rides like a dream. He is the type of horse you look forward to riding every day, he is just so enjoyable and talented!
In the ring, Vivaldi is a dream. If you watched his video you can see why! He has three quality uphill gaits that are balanced and adjustable. This is the type of horse that can go up the levels with ease. He is safe and understanding with amateurs, yet talented and enjoyable for any professional. He has a great understanding of lateral work, is soft in the bridle, and listens well to seat, voice, and leg cues. He has schooled second level tests, and is so incredibly smart when new things are asked of him. Though dressage is seeming to be his strong suit, he has also been taking to jumping quite well. He is very brave and scoopey, he could have a bright future in eventing too!
Off property and on the trails, Vivaldi is cool, calm, and collected. He enjoys hacking out and doing things outside of the arena. As great as he is in the ring, he is equally suited for the trails. Anyone can trail ride this horse. He crosses water, roads, and other obstacles. He happily rides alone or in a group, and is happy leading the way or riding in the pack. We have used Vivaldi to work our coon hounds, so a transition to being a fox hunter would be an easy one! He pops over logs, coupes, walls, and ditches. He loads right into the trailer and goes to work wherever you take him.
In the barn, Vivaldi is gentle and kind. He has great ground manners and is great in the barn with our kids and dogs running all over. He stands tied, clips, bathes, and is a good boy for all of the usual barn tasks. He has the usual silly Friesian personality, he is in your pocket and sweet as ever. He is the first to the fence to greet you in the morning, and will follow you around the barn all day. He loves to snuggle and be loved on, yet is still polite and knows his size.
Vivaldi is an exciting horse that checks all of the boxes. He has an amateur friendly brain, talent for the upper levels, an unbeatable personality, safety for the trails, and the ability to be successful in any direction. Whether you want to do dressage, event, hunt, or have the flashy trail partner - Vivaldi can do it all!
