Admiral is a 5 year old Percheron x Quarter Horse gelding standing 16.2 hands high. Admiral is the epitome of luxury and class! He is an absolute gem in every way, and a very rare find. You will stand out in any place with this horse! He is a jack of all trades with looks, brains, incredible presence, and a canter like no other! When this horse comes in the ring he outshines everyone else, every time. Whether you want to bring home top ribbons in the dressage ring, or have the most show stopping horse on the trail, you will have a reliable and smart partner to do any job with.
In the ring, Admiral rides English & western. Under saddle, he is uncomplicated and reliable. You’d think he was an imported warmblood with the canter this horse has. He will pick himself up, collect and ride with contact in the bridle, and naturally carries himself correct on a loose rein. He has clean, easy canter departures and transitions, is soft in the bridle, works well off your leg and seat, side passes, pivots, and will move out or collect when asked. Put together a dressage test, practice working equitation type of drills, or just enjoy a well rounded and naturally talented horse on a hack around the barn.
On the trails, Admiral is reliable and brave. He is the center of attention out on hunter paces, and he knows he’s handsome because he really does pose for the camera! Admiral crosses water, is traffic safe, and is sure footed on any terrain. We have taken Admiral off property to lots of new places. He’s a blast on the cross country field, and super smart with his feet on the obstacle course.
In the barn, Admiral is sweet and loves to be your buddy. He’s the first to the gate in the pasture, and follows us around while we do the barn chores. He is a gentleman to groom and tack, and absolutely loves attention! He is an easy keeper that’s happy living out - but is a good boy when stalled as well. He requires no maintenance and has no vices.
Admiral is the type of horse you look forward to riding every day. After a long stressful day, I look forward to taking him out to the field and cantering around. He is extremely intelligent, very easy to work with, and honest as the day is long. He shows a lot of promise in many different disciplines, and could go on to be successful in dressage or western dressage, working equitation, and eventing. Though he is just as happy and safe to be a husband horse or trail partner.
