Amarillo- For Sale

Amarillo is a coming 5 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 15.1 hands high. This gelding is everything you could want and then some. He rides and acts like a teenage schoolmaster. He jumps a course, has his changes, is a trail master, and is even quiet and gentle enough that our youngest kids can safely pony ride and take lessons on. Nothing phases or bothers him, he is the same horses every ride, and is absolute saint in every way. He is always safe, always quiet, and always does what is asked. Show him, hunt him, trail ride him, and trust him with the kids. It’s hard to find a horse that checks all of the boxes like Amarillo does! 

 

In the ring, Amarillo is a dream boat. He has three easy to ride gaits, good transitions, and listens well to his rider. He will never go faster than asked, and is perfect for a rider needing a confidence boost. We are serious when we say this guy rides like your favorite schoolmaster. He is just so simple and easy in every way. Amarillo picks up the correct leads, has flying changes, takes a joke, and is tolerant of any rider in any job. He rides both English and western, neck reins, and will go on a loose rein or ride in a frame when asked. Amarillo is putting small courses together, and has gone xc schooling, being brave and honest to new fences. The kids can safely ride and mess around on him, and we even trust him to give the babies pony rides! 

 

On the trails, Amarillo is quiet and reliable. He goes up any hill, into any water, and across any obstacle. He is used to loading up in the trailer and going to new places. He is the same horse in all environments and requires no prep. Any level of rider can safely enjoy Amarillo on the trails. He is a dependable and sure footed partner. Amarillo loves water, is safe in traffic, and is happy riding alone or in a group. He  is used to hounds, ATV’s, kids, and deer running onto the trail, and none of it phases him a bit. 

 

In the barn, Amarillo is a gentle friend to anyone who comes to see him. The kids handle him on a daily basis, he even lowers his head so they can take his halter on and off. He is a gentleman in every way, and just as sweet as can be. He is well behaved for all of the barn tasks, and genuinely enjoys being around people. He is easy to catch in the pasture, gets along well with all the other horses, and is the same horse whether he is stalled, turned out, ridden every day, or once a week. 

Amarillo is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment.

 

Appointments to meet and try horses can be made starting anytime after the Full Video is listed on our page. Vet and ship, and sight-unseen sales are welcome at any point once the horse is listed on our site.

​Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. A deposit holds a horse for 5 days. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
