Colorado - SOLD

Colorado is a 4 year old Friesian x Percheron gelding standing 15.3 hands high. He has the beautiful Friesian look, with the percheron speed (Or lack thereof) and easy going temperament. Colorado is the Friesian for the rider who wants that big, pretty horse, that doesn't have the huge movement and high spirit. He is just as happy on the trails as he is in the ring, and does whatever job is asked of him with a good attitude and quiet mind.  

In the ring, Colorado is happy to go around on the buckle or in a frame. He trots around with the kids in lessons and is tolerant and forgiving. Colorado has a great comfortable canter, great brakes, and easy transitions. He is the same horse on and off property, and is easy in every way. He has gone cross country schooling, and though he won't be your next olympic hopeful, he is happy to trot around and pop over small logs, coupes, walls, and more. 

On the trails, Colorado is happy as can be. He is a true trainer master that anyone can enjoy. He will lead the way, ride in the back, or ride out alone. He crosses streams, swims, goes up and down banks, and crosses any and all obstacles. He is safe in traffic, around livestock, and doesn't get worked up by much. If you want a safe, pretty, steady eddy on the trails, Colorado is your guy. 

In the barn, Colorado is sweet as pie. He loves attention and getting loved on. He is handled, groomed, and tacked up by the kids and their friends. He has the best mane and tail, so lots of braiding goes on in his stall! He is a good boy for all the usual barn tasks and stands patiently to be groomed, braided, clipped, and bathed. Colorado is an easy keeper that lives out in a mixed herd. He is a good boy when stalled, and has no vices or quirks. 

Colorado is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment.
 
Appointments to meet and try horses can be made starting anytime after the Full Video is listed on our page. Vet and ship, and sight-unseen sales are welcome at any point once the horse is listed on our site.

​Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. A deposit holds a horse for 5 days. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
