Ideal Match - Hot Dog would fit into almost any home. He is a great lesson horse, and can be ridden and enjoyed by the whole family. He doesn't care what discipline he does, and can take a joke from his rider. Hot Dog is not an upper level horse, but he is as safe, reliable, and easygoing as they come.
Maintenance & Special Care -
Hot Dog does not require any maintenance. He does have a small spot (scar) in his left eye from an old injury. This does not affect him in any way and it has been there for many years without change or issue.
Hot Diggity Dog is a 15 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 15.1 hands high. Hot Dog is a gentle soul, and the ultimate safe and steady packer. He has been there and done that, and is as trustworthy as the day is long. From walk trot lessons with our youngest kids, to going around lower level cross country, hunter paces, and gymkhana, there isn't much he hasn't done! Hot Dog has even moonlighted as a rodeo mount when our little ones decided they wanted to try out roping and other events. There isn't a thing you can't do with this guy. He tolerates any and all shenanigans, takes care of the kids (and adults too), and has the best brain around.
In the ring, Hot Dog is experienced and educated. He was originally a western broke ranch horse, and has all the buttons you could want. He neck reins, spins, backs, goes bridleless, and knows all the lateral work. He will go in a frame or on the buckle, and has the smoothest canter you'll ever find. He has three steady and comfortable gaits, great brakes, and easy steering. Hot Dog is used to wobbly kids, nervous and timid riders, and packs every around just the same. He is not a fancy show horse, but he is SAFE and will always take care of his rider. He will pop around a small course, but hasn't done much course work in his life. In the ring, he is used to trotting cross rails with the kids. Most of his jumping experience is out cross country, and out on hunter paces.
On the trails, Hot Dog is reliable as they come. He has many miles out on all kinds of trails and terrain. He will always safely care for his rider, whether you're out working cows, ponying the kids, or dragging your husband out for a ride. He is safe in traffic, loves water, and will cross any obstacle you may come across. He rides alone, in a group, and is happy leading or following. Hot Dog is used to loading in the trailer and going new places. He stands on and tied to the trailer, and has great manners.
In the barn, Hot Dog is a family favorite. He is as easy as they get, and can safely be handled by anyone. Hot Dog has no quirks or vices, and can fit into any environment. He will live inside or out, and gets turned out with mares and geldings in a mixed herd. Hot Dog requires no maintenance or special care, he is sound and healthy. He does have an old scar in his left eye that does not affect him in any way.

Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
