Tulsa - For Sale

Tulsa is a 4 year old Friesian x Paint horse standing 16 hands high. Tulsa is a big, gentle, teddy bear of a horse. He's the ultimate family horse, a reliable partner, and an all around solid citizen. He is the type you can take anywhere and always enjoy the ride. Put the kids or husband on him for a trail ride, take him to lessons and clinics, hunt him, or just enjoy him in your backyard! Whether you want a safe, cuddly buddy for the family to enjoy, or a talented and sturdy horse to bring along for the hunt field or show ring, Tulsa is there to be a dependable and quiet minded partner fro you. 

In the ring, Tulsa is steady and safe. Anyone can ride him around. From our youngest children taking lessons, to guests, and friends. If a beginner wants to take a spin, we put them on Tulsa. He has three very comfortable gaits, easy transitions, and an easygoing way about him. He picks up both leads, neck reins, and has a nice big stop when you say "whoa!" He is safe, he is tolerant, and he is easy. The type of horse that you want to hop on to unwind after a stressful day. We toss the kids up into the saddle with us, and hack him around the farm after a long day.  

On the trails and off property, Tulsa is the best! He steps right into water, swims, crosses logs, and more. He rides alone, he rides in a group, and he will trailer off by himself and go new places confidently and quietly. We have taken him schooling on cold winter days to new places, and he comes off the trailer as if he's at home. He has gone on camping trips, hunter paces, and countless off property trips. He doesn't care about his surroundings, and has always been sensible and easygoing in every job, in any place.  

In the barn, Tulsa is a love bug! He adores being groomed and loved on by the children, and will stand for hours to be braided and fussed with. He can be handled by anyone, is gentle and polite, and loves being around people. He is a good boy for all the usual barn tasks, and will clip, load, tie, bathe, and stand for the vet and farrier without issue. Tulsa has no vices and is an easy keeper.
